To increase productivity and to try and reduce lead times for a 1 man shop, I’m transitioning to e-mails only and no longer accepting phone calls. I can reached by e-mail at email@example.com
As a 1 man shop who is always very busy, sometimes my workload overwhelms my capabilities to complete projects in the estimated time frame. Some things can also be out of my control. I am working diligently to get projects completed but will not sacrifice quality just to get it out the door. Please be patient, I will get to you. Any e-mails asking "how's my rifle coming" will be referred to this page. When it's done I will contact you. Rome wasn't built in a day.

My name is Kevin J. Cram, owner and operator of Montour County Rifles (MCR). I've been a long-range hunter since 1991 shooting mostly in the mountains of North Central PA. From that time on precision long range shooting grew to be an obsession. I graduated from Columbia Montour Vo-Tech majoring in Machine Technology. After high school I studied Automated Manufacturing at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
From then on I worked at a couple precision machine shops in my local area. During after hours at work I was either accurizing or building one of my rifles, reloading, shooting or hunting. In 2003 I decided to combine my love for precision shooting and precision machining together and started my own company Montour County Rifles.
As of today I have a Kingston HS-1100 super precision tool room lathe, Kingston KJ-1100 super precision tool room lathe, DoAll surface grinder, 10" x 54" Bridgeport horizontal mill, Hardinge CHNC 4 CNC Lathe, CNC Supra Mill, Ex-cello diamond grinder, Grizzly G4030 bandsaw, a Grizzly model G1061 buffer, a Bead Blast Cabinet, and a wide variety of specialized tooling and fixtures.
I am a one-man shop from paper work to machining. When you call, I'm the one on the other end of the line, the actual person who is working on your rifle. I specialize in building complete custom rifles whether for hunting or competition to the highest of standards. I take pride in building a rifle that is practical for its purpose, highly accurate, functional and exceptional in appearance.
If your looking to have a custom rifle built, you can be assured that MCR can provide you the tack driving accuracy you demand and the friendly customer service you deserve.
I appreciate all of my customers!! MCR operates on an appointment-only basis. I’d love to have you come by the shop, but make sure I'll be around. To schedule an appointment, please shoot me an email.
